Meet Chris, a musical melting pot, a tapestry woven with influences from multiple genres and eras. Chris's journey into the world of music was painted with notes from his mother's piano, the keys of which she effortlessly played by ear. Growing up amidst the melodies of Calypso music, Chris found his early rhythm in the soulful tunes that echoed through his home. At the age of 18, destiny led him to an Army base in Panama, where he picked up his first guitar. Inspired by the timeless genius of the Beatles, the raw energy of the Rolling Stones, the legendary charisma of Elvis, the haunting ballads of Roy Orbison, and the folksy charm of Creedence Clearwater Revival and Jefferson Airplane, Chris's musical canvas was colorful.

He became a musical chameleon, drawing from a spectrum of influences that knew no boundaries. To him, genres were bridges connecting the diverse landscapes of music. Chris dubs himself a "Heinz 57" – a blend of flavors, each contributing to his unique sound. Like a misplaced hippie, he often felt he was born in an era that had slipped away before his time.

In the vibrant punk era of the 1980s, Chris found his musical sanctuary. Armed with his guitar, he embarked on a tour across the state of New York with his first band. The spirit of rebellion fueled his passion, and he found kinship in the sounds of bands like the Velvet Underground, the eclectic vibes of The Talking Heads, the guitar wizardry of Alvin Lee, and the timeless tunes of Eddie Cochran.

Amidst this musical whirlwind, a familiar tune threaded through Chris's memories – the soulful songs of Bob Seger that had accompanied him through his high school days. It was a serendipitous moment when he decided to help form “Against the Wind”, his musical journey coming full circle. Chris brings with him a symphony of experiences, a medley of influences, and a passion that transcends time and trends. His guitar strings echo with the spirit of Bob Seger,  a favorite that resonates with music enthusiasts across generations. In every chord, every note, and every lyric, Chris's story unfolds – a testament to the enduring power of music and the boundless creativity of the human spirit.
