Doug Lelesch

Organ / Keyboard

In the heart of Florida, amidst the salty tales of the Navy, fate played its tune when Doug's dad, a Navy sailor, walked into a quaint saloon. There, amidst the smoky ambiance, he found himself captivated by the soulful melodies of a woman singing Patsy Cline. Little did he know that this chance encounter would lead to marriage and the first chords of a musical legacy.

From the tender age of 10, Doug discovered his passion for rhythm, starting with drums. But his musical journey didn't stop there. With relentless dedication, he mastered not only the drums but also the guitar and keyboards, later embracing the deep resonance of the bass guitar.

In 1982, the palm trees and beaches of California came calling. It was here that the West Coast witnessed the birth of the electrifying energy of glam metal bands and Doug’s own band’s original compositions. When the days of the 80's Hair Bands faded, Doug continued to find a passion that echoed with the spirit of rock 'n' roll.

Having played multiple instruments in bands over the years, Doug found his calling in the keyboards and the soul-stirring Hammond organ with Against the Wind. His fingers dance across the keys, infusing every melody with passion and precision and with the influence of Bob Seger. Segers timeless piano-laden compositions resonate deeply with Doug. The rich, heartfelt tunes have become a cornerstone of his musical expression.

Today, "Against the Wind" stands as a testament to Doug's musical odyssey. From his mother’s start in the saloons of Florida to his own vibrant music scene in California, his journey is etched in every chord. With Doug's mastery over drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards, the band's sound is a fusion of raw energy and passion.

"Against the Wind" doesn't just play music; they craft experiences. Each of Doug’s performances is a celebration of his lifelong devotion to the art, a homage to the sailor's son who found his place in rock and roll history. Join him, and let the music carry you away on a Bob Seger  journey woven with passion, talent, and the echo of a musical legend.
